Modus Music is the publishing division of the Compass Composers' Association, founded in the UK in 1974.

It exists principally to publish the work of the Association's composers but, in addition, the publication of a small number of works
by an older generation of composers is included in our publishing strategy.

Our catalogue currently includes works by: Judith Bailey, Michael Barlow, Frank Bayford, Marcus Blunt, Carey Blyton, George Butterworth (1885-1916), Hilary Corke (1921-2001), Bert Cox, Terence Deadman, Phillip Fordham, Derek Foster, Chris Gander. Keith Glennie-Smith, Anthony Green, Patrick Mills, John Mitchell, Jeremy Mount, Herbert Murrill (1909-1952), Peter Naylor, Ottavio Negro, Jonathan Rutherford, Nigel Sagar, Philip Sainton (1891-1967), David Snell, Sydney Vale and Peter Warlock (1894-1930),
with arrangements of Beethoven, Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829-1869), Hubert Parry (1848-1918), Jean Philippe Rameau (1683-1764) and Kennedy Russell (1883-1954).
